Mila Stankovic - Piano Teacher
Mila Stankovic started playing piano at the age of six; coming from a musical family where the sounds of music and piano was always around. Classical music is her passion, particularly breathtaking melodies by Chopin and Beethoven. Nowadays, Mila has dedicates her time to what she loves the most - teaching.
Mila's true inspiration and motivation for music came alive once she met a world renowned pianist - Dr Laussade at the Melba Conservatorium of Music; which is where Mila completed the Bachelor of Music degree. Melba Conservatorium awarded her with two full scholarships for the highest score achieved in the final piano recital.
Throughout the studies, Mila had the opportunity to learn from some of the most skilled and respected pianists in Australia and worldwide. She performed at a number of prestigious venues around Melbourne such as the Parliament House and Chanel 9.
With nine years of working experience in primary, secondary, private
and public schools Mila has developed an easygoing, practical and fun method of
teaching piano and the feedback and the results of her students achievements has been outstanding.
Having completed an additional year of study (Post Graduate Diploma of Education) which has enabled her to gain a deeper insight into early childhood development, thus becoming a better educator and facilitator for her students. Furthermore, Mila has been privileged to work and teach children with special needs - both general classroom and piano teaching and she immensely enjoys working with these very special individuals.
Mila's goal is to introduce future generations to the wonderful world of music and piano playing, no matter what the age, ability and needs are - there is a place in music for everyone!
